The Little Green Frog and Other Poems
If your dog is sprayed by a skunk would you bathe him in tomato juice while gagging from the smell? After a good rain, would you spend the morning lying on the ground, watching the squirmy, wriggly worms left over from the night? The poem-children do all these and more.
Short 4-line poems alternate with longer 2-page poems that will please both the younger and older child. These are poems about animals in the California foothills that the author sees, hears, and smells in her extended backyard, an orchard that backs up to a forest.
